5.1 Checking the Performance and Specifications

5.1.1 Preparation of Items

Performance checking method is explained here.
The following items are required for performance check.
(1) Component Units of Liquid Chromatography System
 Pump (ChromasterUltra Rs 6170 Binary Pump)
 Detector (ChromasterUltra Rs 6430 Diode Array Detector)
 Oven (ChromasterUltra Rs 6310 Column Oven)
 Data processing software
 Waste solution bottle
NOTE:
Use the degassing unit for deaerating a mobile phase and
a wash fluid constantly.
If the mobile phase and the wash fluid are not deaerated
sufficiently, the full performance of this instrument may
not be attained.
NOTE:
Set the wash fluid bottle at a position higher than the
autosampler. If it is placed at a position lower than the
autosampler, a negative pressure may be produced in the
piping to form air bubbles in the syringe, disabling
achievement of the full performance of the autosampler.
(2) Items for Performance Check
 Load resistance coil
A coiled stainless pipe having an inner diameter of 0.25 mm
and a length of 20 m.
 Distilled water in about 1000 mL
 100 ppm of Caffeine aqueous solution
(Caffeine 10 mg/Water 100 mL)
