Maintenance of the IndraControl VCH 08.1

The hand-held terminals are maintenance-free. However, some components
are subject to wear and must be replaced.
Include the following measures in the maintenance schedule:
● Clean the screen at least once a week using an antistatic fabric or a
cleansing agent containing alcohol.
WARNING
● Do not use any solvents (e. g. diluents)!
● Do not use high pressure cleaning devices!
● At least once a year, check all plug and terminal connections of the com‐
ponents regarding proper tightness and possible damage.
Check that cables are not broken or crushed. Replace damaged parts
immediately.
A fading backlight causes a progressive deterioration of the LCD display's
readability, so that a backlight exchange is required. For further information,

The IndraControl VCH 08.1 designed for the use in the industrial environment.
No special maintenance is required.
We recommend to keep the device away from humidity, oils and emulsions.
If a particular degree of fouling is achieved - from the ergonomic point of view
- the IndraControl VCH 08.1 has to be cleaned with a smooth, dry and fuzz-free
cloth to restore e. g. the full grip.
