2.2.6 Paper Feed Mechanism

The paper feed mechanism handles paper feeding from printing through
paper ejection. The figure below shows its component layout:

Unlike previous models, the PF motor of this printer drives only the
paper feed mechanism, having no connection with the carriage lock
mechanism or the pump mechanism. See the table below for the PF
motor specifications:

The paper feed mechanism includes a paper end (PE) sensor, which
checks the following:
T
During paper loading, it checks if the leading edge of the paper
has been correctly loaded.
T
It detects the end of the paper after printing to initiate the paper
eject operation.
The drive voltage for the PE sensor is 5.0 V ± 5%, and its output signal
specifications are as shown below:
