Step 7 Take out and install the new UIM02C board.
Step 8 Connect all the cables on the UIM02C board to the new UIM02C based on the recorded
information.
Step 9 Reconnect the –48 V power cable to the UIM02C board.
Step 10 Push the UIM02C in place and tighten the screws.
Step 11 Reconnect signal cables to the new UIM02C panel based on the recorded information.
Step 12 Disconnect the ground cable from the ESD wrist strap, and remove the ESD wrist strap and
ESD gloves.

Follow-up Procedure
Pack the removed component and have it sent to the local Huawei warehouse.

9.1.5.3 Replacing an NIM01C3

Prerequisites


Procedure
Step 1 Connect the ground cable to the ESD wrist strap, and put on the ESD wrist strap and ESD
gloves.
Step 2 Record the positions where signal cables connect to the NIM01C3 panel, and then disconnect
the signal cables.
Step 3 Loosen the screws on both sides of the NIM01C3 panel.
Step 4 Pull the handle rightwards to remove the NIM01C3.
Issue 02 (2020-03-17)
An ESD wrist strap, ESD gloves, ESD box or bag, cabinet door key, and required tools
are available.
The new NIM01C3 is intact.
