Connecting to Cable or DSL Modem

If you need to connect the access point to a cable or DSL modem, do the following.
1. Place the device in an open location in the supposed center of your wireless network. Do not
plug the power adapter into the device.
2. Turn off your PC.
3. Unplug the Ethernet cable (that connects your PC to your modem) from your computer and
place it into the INTERNET port of your device.
4. Plug another Ethernet cable into the LAN port of the device. Plug the other end into the
Ethernet port of your PC.
5. Turn on your modem. Wait until the modem is booted (about 30 seconds).
6. Plug the power adapter to the device and connect to an electrical outlet or power strip. Wait
until the device is booted (about 30 seconds).
7. Turn on your PC.
8. Verify the LEDs of the device. The following LEDs should be on: Power, LAN and
Internet. If not, make sure that your computer, modem, and access point are powered on
and the relevant cables are connected correctly.
