Troubleshooting

If you cannot connect your adapter to the network,

Verify your cable is connected properly.
The network cable should securely be attached on both LAN ports of adapter and link partner (such as
hub/switch).
Verify your cable type.
See "Network Cables"(page15), and check whether the cable in use has satisfied specification.
Install the cable to the LAN port straight.
Do not force to install the cable to avoid damage it.
Make sure that the connector of the cable is clean and is not damaged.
Since the cable which was being used by 1000BASE-SX may not satisfy quality, when a
cable is long, it may be unable to communicate.
Verify your driver is proper.
Verify you are using the driver that came with the adapter.
See "Driver version confirmation"(page 16). and Make sure proper driver file name and version
Verify if the adapter LEDs are on or off.
N8104-123A adapter has LEDs around LAN port. You can see there if the link is established, LED
statuses and their meanings are listed below.
