Common problems and solution

LINK/ACT LED stays off
Make sure you loaded the network driver
Check all connections at the adapter and link partner.
Try another port on the link partner (such as hub/switch).
Make sure the communication rate on the adapter matches that on the link partner.
Make sure that the cable between the adapter and link partner is the proper type.
Make sure no foreign object is in LAN port.
Before looking LAN port, Turn off power the computer, and detach the adapter.
Avoid direct look into the laser beam.
The N8104-123A 10GBASE-SR Adapter is classified as a Class 1 Laser Product. A class
1 laser will not be harmful to the human body. However, do not look directly into the LAN
port during operation. Keep any vacant LC connector covered with a dust cover (rubber
cap) when you do not use it or you transport it.
The adapter stops working without apparent cause
Try reseating PCI riser card and adapter.
The transmission rate is displayed as 1410M by ESMPRO®/ServerManager.
Transmission rate information (ifSpeed value) in SNMP MIB-II might be displayed as 1410M in this
product on the SNMP management tool such as ESMPRO.
There is no problem because an actual operation speed is 10Gbps.
For the correct transmission rate display, refer to the link/ [Control Panel] ->
[Network Connections].
Please confirm the speed displayed by the network connection of the control panel about a correct
transmission rate.
If the problem persists even after you checked the above items,
something may be wrong with this adapter.
