CAUTION:

Provide a circuit breaker for each power supply and make sure the circuit breaker is off before
installation.
x
Do not install power supplies of different models on one switch.
The power supplies on the A10500 Switch Series can be installed in horizontal or vertical slots.

Horizontal slot: A10504
x
Vertical slot: A10508 and A10508-V

Installing a power supply

CAUTION:

When moving the power supply, support the bottom of the power supply, instead of holding its handle
to avoid damaging the power supply.

No blank panel is available on some card slots when your switch is shipped. The figures in this chapter
are for illustration only.
To install the power supply:
Wear an ESD-preventive wrist strap and make sure it makes good skin contact and is well

Unpack the power supply.

Follow the installation graph printed on the blank panel of the power supply to install the power

module bottom with the other. Push the power supply along the guide rails into the slot until it has
