Regulatory model identification number

For regulatory identification purposes, the HP A10500 series of products are assigned Regulatory Model
Numbers (RMN). The Regulatory Model Numbers for these products are listed below. These regulatory
numbers should not be confused with the marketing name HP A1050X, or product numbers JC61 1A,
JC612A, and JC613A.

Chassis overview

The HP A10500 Switch Series includes these models: A10504, A10508, and A10508-V. This chapter
describes the chassis views of the A10500 switches.
Every A10500 switch chassis has a main processing unit (MPU) section, line processing unit (LPU) section,
switching fabric module section, power supply module section, and fan tray section. The following figure
uses the A10508 as an example.
