Power-On Commissioning

Power-On Commissioning for the UPS Modular Input PDC (Single Cabinet)
1. The power-on commissioning personnel must be at least two qualified electricians. One
performs operations while the other monitors the operations. Irrelevant persons should be
warned off.
2. Powering off the PDC disconnects the power supply to the downstream devices. Exercise
caution with this operation when the PDC is supplying power to a working system.
3. Before manual operations, set the DIP switch to the manual mode and install the ATS handle.
4. If the electric mode is to be used, set the DIP switch to the electric mode and remove the ATS
handle.
1. Check cable connections and mechanical performance.
Check that cables are connected correctly outside the
cabinet. Check that all bolts are secured for cables and
tighten a bolt if it is loose.
Check that ground cables are properly connected.
(Optional) Switch on and off all circuit breakers and
ATSs three times. Ensure that they can be switched on and
off smoothly.
2. Check the insulation.
Switch off the upstream circuit breaker QFS for the SPD
in the input module of the PDC, and switch on other circuit
breakers, as shown in the figure.
(Optional) Ensure that the ATS handle is at I or II
position.
Check that the insulation resistances of the power
distribution devices and feed circuit are no less than 0.5
megohm.
After checking, turn off all the circuit breakers.
3. Turn on the upstream circuit breaker of the PDC. If all the input indicators light up at the
same time, the PDC input power is normal.
4. Verify that the phase sequence of the input power is correct using a phase sequence meter. In
the case of an ATS, check the phase sequences of both power inputs.
5. Turn on the upstream switch of the SPD. If the SPD module indicators are green, the SPD is
running properly. If an SPD module indicator is red, the SPD module is faulty and must be
replaced immediately.
6. Turn on the input switch of the PDC and check whether the voltage and frequency on the
electricity meter are normal.
7. The PDC power-on check is completed.
