Cleaning

DANGER! ELECTRIC SHOCK!
Always pull out the plug before cleaning the appliance!
Never immerse the heating element 2 in water or other liquids!
WARNING!
Allow the appliance to cool sufficiently before cleaning it . There is a risk of
burns!
ATTENTION! PROPERTY DAMAGE!
Do not use a wire brush or other abrasive objects or abrasive or aggres-
sive cleaning agents for cleaning .
1) Clean the heating element 2 with a lightly moistened cloth .
2) Clean the cooking grill 1, the drip tray 3 and the housing 4 in warm
washing-up water . Rinse all parts after cleaning with plenty of fresh water to
remove all detergent residues .
3) After cleaning, dry all parts thoroughly and reassemble them .

Storage

Store the cleaned appliance in a dry and dust-free location .

Troubleshooting

Fault
The appliance will
not switch on/does
not react .
If you cannot solve the problem using the steps above, please contact Customer Service (see
section Service) .
STGE 2000 A1
Cause
The heating element 2
is fitted with a safety
switch . The appliance
can only be started if
this is inserted correctly .
The plug is not plugged
in .
The socket is not
supplying any power .
The appliance is
defective .
Remedy
Check that the heating element 2 has
been correctly inserted into the housing 4 .
Insert the plug into a mains power socket .
Check the house fuses or use another
socket .
Contact the Customer Service department .
