WARNING
Life parts are dangerous.
Do not open any covers or flange sockets during operation.
Do not connect or disconnect plug-connectors and connec‐
tion clamps.
WARNING
Do not remove covers, machine parts or protective devices
during operation.
Do not enter the motion area of the machine. Prevent per‐
sonnel from accidentally entering the machine's range of mo‐
tion by using, for example:
Safety fences, safety screens or protective covers.
Optical sensors
CAUTION
Do not touch hot motor surfaces.
Install protection against contact, if necessary.
Make sure that no temperature-sensitive components (ca‐
bles, electronic components, ...) touch hot surfaces.
The motor can be operated only after installation into a machine.
For start up, please observe the documentation of all system
components. A detailed description of the motor commissioning
on Rexroth controllers is described in the project planning manual
Self-cooled linear motors ML3 (see
mentation").
Prior to commissioning, ensure that the following requirements are met.
Make sure that the motor is mechanically and electrically connected cor‐
rectly.
Ensure that the motor and all participating components of the drive are
undamaged (e.g. length measuring system).
Make sure that the axis can freely move over the whole traverse path.
Please observe the general safety instructions on the protection against
hazardous movements.
Commissioning and operation
High electric voltage! Danger to life, risk of in‐
jury by electric shock.
Risk of injuries due to moving machine parts!
Thermal danger due to hot surfaces with tem‐
peratures over 60 °C during operation
