CAUTION:
To prevent damage to the processor pins when replacing a faulty system board, ensure that
you cover the processor socket with the processor protective cap.

Steps
1. Disconnect all cables from the system board.
CAUTION:
Take care not to damage the system identification button while removing the system board from
the chassis.
CAUTION:
Do not lift the system board by holding a memory module, processor, or other components.
2. Holding the system board holder, pull the blue release pin, lift the system board, and then slide it toward the front of the
chassis.
Sliding the system board toward the front of the chassis disengages the connectors from the back of the chassis slots.
3. Lift the system board out of the chassis.
Installing system board
Steps
1. Unpack the new system board assembly.
CAUTION:
Do not lift the system board by holding a memory module, processor, or other components
CAUTION:
Take care not to damage the system identification button while placing the system board into the
chassis.
2. Holding the system board holder, push the system board toward the back of the system until the release pin clicks into place.
Next steps
1. Install the Trusted Platform Module (TPM).
The TPM plug-in module is attached to the system board and cannot be removed. A replacement TPM plug-in
NOTE:
module will be provided for all system board replacements where a TPM plug-in module was installed.
2. Replace the following:
a. Network daughter card
