Enable Port
Allows the user to enable or disable the port.
Note: When this field is unchecked (port disabled) the „Port Status‟
and „LAN Interface‟ fields to the right are inactive and display "-".
Note: The port will become automatically disabled upon loss of cable
connection to the port if "Off on Disconn" for the port is checked.
Enable Alert
If enabled, any problem reported in the Status field for this port will
generate an alert on the ETHER-1000 unit (flashing ALARM LED) and
in the NMS.
Port Status
Indicates the current status of the port.

Security
No Link
CRC
COLL
LATE
JABBER
DISCARDS A frame discard due to 16 consecutive collisions
OK
Note: Any of the above alert conditions is latched for 500ms. If during
this time no new alert condition has been observed, the alert is turned
off.
Port Type 47
Indicates the mode of operation selected for the given port.
selection is made based on the application the port is required to
support. The following Port Type options are presently available: P-
Access (default), P-Trunk, Q-Access and Q-Trunk. Before making a
selection, the user should refer to the Port Types section of this
manual (pages 27 to 34).
Note: All ports within a D-PVLAN must be of either P- or Q-type.
