4-12. PULSE MODULATION RISE AND FALL TIME TEST

THIS TEST IS NOT APPLICABLE TO INSTRUMENTS EQUIPPED WITH
OPTION 006, DELETE PULSE MODULATION.

For CW mode and frequencies =400 MHz only:

Description
The OUT's RF output frequency is down converted to 50 MHz using a mixer and a local oscillator. The
50 MHz IF signal is amplified and applied to an oscilloscope. The DUT is pulsed using a pulse
generator. The pulse generator output is also applied to the oscilloscope. The oscilloscope is used to
measure the pulse envelope rise and fall times. Refer to Figure 4-12 Pulse Definitions.
