How to install on Windows 2000

This section describes how to install the driver on Windows2000
First, you update the onboard LAN driver and remove Intel
the onboard LAN driver and remove Intel®PROSet" on page 50 for details.
Next, you attach N8403-012 to the CPU blade. See Chapter 2 "How to attach the adapter on your
server" on page 42 for details.
Then, install the N8403-012 driver by using the driver CD.
Here, you can install the driver by one of the following means. According to your administration/
operation style, select one.
To install from CPU blade,
→ see Section 4.4.2 "How to install from CPU blade" on page 52.
To install from TS client,
→ see Section 4.4.3 "How to install from TS client" on page 53.
To install manually by using Device Manager,
→ see Section 4.4.4 "How to install manually by using Device Manager" on page 54.
To install from DPM(Ver.2.1/3.0),
→ see Section 4.4.5"How to install from DPM(Ver.2.1/3.0)" on page 56.

To replace the adapter, first, you have to remove the driver,
then, reinstall it.
By removing the driver, the protocol information is also
deleted. Before you remove the driver, copy the network
information. Make the settings again after you have installed
it.
If you see the following messages when you start the system
after you have attached N8403-012, click [Cancel] to close
the dialog box.
[Found New Hardware Wizard] dialog box
This driver supports Windows2000
newer is applied.
If Service Pack 4 is not yet applied, apply it.
