1.1.2 Installing Console Drawer on Rack

Install the console drawer on a proper rack in the following procedure:

Be sure to observe the following precautions to use the server and its peripheral devices
safely. Failure to observe the precautions may cause burns, injury, and property damage.
For details, refer to Safety precautions.
Do not use the console draw er in any unapproved place.

Note sufficiently that your fingers may not be caught betw een a rail and another mechanical

part or cut by a rail at installation or removal of the console draw er in/from the rack.
The console draw er weighs 9.9 kg. At least tw o persons are required for installation.

When installing the console draw er, make sure that the latch lever is securely locked. If the
･
latch lever is released, the console draw er may be pulled out unexpectedly causing a
personal injury.
Do not hold the LCD handle to lift the console draw er. Doing so may cause the console
･
draw er to fall.
Avoid contact w ith the console drawer including cables during thunderstorms. Doing so may
･
cause an electric shock.
