4. Assemble and adjust as described in the cutting
unit Operator's Manual.
5. Make sure that the counter weight
installed to the proper end of the cutting unit as
described in the cutting unit Operator's Manual.

6. Ensure that the turf-compensation spring is
mounted to the same side as the reel drive motor
on every cutting unit. To change the position of
the spring, do the following steps:
A. Remove the 2 carriage bolts and nuts
securing the rod bracket to the cutting-unit
tabs (Figure 10).

B. Remove the flange nut securing the
spring-tube bolt to the carrier-frame tab
(Figure 10)
C. Remove the assembly.
D. Mount the spring-tube bolt to the opposite
tab on the carrier frame and secure with the
flange nut.
