● Windows Server® 2019 setup procedure
Perform the following procedure to set up Windows Server® 2019.
1. Turn on the power to this equipment.
Windows starts running and setup is prepared.
• This might take several minutes. Please wait until it completes.
• After the OS restarts, setup will continue.
2. A window to select the language to be used will appear.
• Select the language and settings you want to use and then click the Next button.
< NOTE >
The default time zone of this equipment is set to "Osaka, Tokyo, and Sapporo".
After setup finishes, if you change the time zone, the system time of this equipment
will be adjusted for the time difference with the "Osaka, Tokyo, and Sapporo" time
zone.
3. The license terms window is displayed.
• Check the displayed content and then click the I agree button.
4. The customize settings window is displayed.
• Enter a password in Password.
• Enter the password again in Confirm Password.
• Click the Finish button.
• Restart the equipment.
< NOTE >
In the Customize Settings window, even if you select Japanese as the language to
be used for this equipment, the English keyboard is the default keyboard layout in
Windows®.
Therefore, even if you are using a Japanese keyboard, you will not be able to enter
Japanese characters and some symbols and special characters might be input
differently from what is indicated on the Japanese keyboard.
If you want to use Japanese characters, symbols, or special characters in your user
name, password, or password hint, first complete the setup by setting a temporary
password that uses only alphanumeric characters. Then, after you finish setting up
the system, re-set your password.
5. Sign in to the equipment.
