Installing a power supply module
There are four scenarios in which a power module can be installed.
Scenario 1: Hot swapping power supply modules
To replace a power supply module with the exact same module, do the following:

Slide the module out of the chassis.
Install a new power supply module or a blank module to prevent the ingress of
dust and dirt.
Remove the existing module and insert the new module into the empty slot.
