Laser Interlock Mechanism
The position of the switch (SW1956) for detecting loading
state is detected by the MD mechanism microprocessor
(IC1401), and the design prevents laser diode oscillation
when the switch (SW1956) is OFF (Pin 6 of 1C1401 is high
level.). Thus, the interlock will no longer function if the
switch (SW1956) is deliberately set to ON. (Pin 6 of
101401 is low level.)
The interlock also does not function in the test mode*.
Laser diode oscillation will continue, if pin 20 of IR8R50
(IC1101) is connected to GND, or else the terminals
(between emitter and collector) of Q1101 are shorted to
each other.
. When the cover is opened with the shielding case of MD
mechanism assy (AYM7003) is further opened, close
viewing of the objective lens with the naked eye will cause
exposure to a Class 1 laser beam.
