independently of the tray.
3. Sliding of tray rack
Separately
from
the motion
of the tray. the tray
rack
slides
independently
in a certain
range
to
move the disc and clamper vertically.
At the same time as the tray comes
into the close
position
during
closing,
the latch is led into the
groove of the latch guide, and turned in the ®
direction,
thus
allowing
the tray rack to slide in
the © _ direction.
During the tray opening, on the contrary, first only
the tray rack moved
by approx.
30 mm,
and the
tip of the tray rack touches the inside of the tray
to open the tray.
At this time, the latch put in the
groove
of the guide
moves
in the
@
direction
so that the tray rack and tray move together.
4. Vertical operation of disc
To moved a disc up and down the lifter cam built
in the tray is rotated by the sliding of the tray rack,
and this rotation is connerted
into vertical motion
of the disc holder.
(1) Moving down

5. Clamping operation
Clamping
a disc onto the turntable is effected by
utilizing the horizontal
operation
of the tray rack
at the same time as the disc is moved down.
The tray rack has a slope @
in contact with the
boss of the clamp cam, which rotates in the
direction.
This clamp cam
is connected
with the
C arm, which clamps the disc, by the spring.
(1) Clamping
When
the tray rack moves
backward,
the clamp
cam is rotated in the ®
direction by the slope
® . and thereby the C spring is extended.
By
this force, the disc is clamped
to the turntable.
Unclamping
When
the tray rack moves
forward
on the con-
trary, the boss of the clamp cam is rotated along
the slope @ by the force of the C spring.
This
turns
the
C
arm
upward
and
unclamping
is
achieved.
