Long term operation near the specified maximum ratings or ambient conditions may require
shorter maintenance intervals for certain components. Consult your local ABB Service
representative for additional maintenance recommendations.
Note 1: Cooling liquid to be used is BASF Glysantin G30® or Valvoline Zerex G30® mixed
with demineralized or distilled water. Clean tap water can also be used. For more details,
see chapter
Cooling and
the above mentioned cooling mixture together with the cooling system materials, the
maintenance interval can be revised.
Note 2: The maintenance schedule of the main circuit breaker is according to maximum
1,000 operations of the breaker per each year. Replacement after 10000 operations. For
more information, refer to the maintenance manual of the ABB SACE breaker.

Maintenance timers and counters

The control program has maintenance timers and counters that can be configured to generate
a warning when a pre-defined limit is reached. Each timer/counter can be set to monitor
any parameter. This feature is especially useful as a service reminder. For more information,
see the firmware manual.

Cleaning the door air inlets

WARNING!
Use a vacuum cleaner with antistatic hose and nozzle, and wear a grounding
wristband. Using a normal vacuum cleaner creates static discharges which can
damage circuit boards.
Check the dustiness of the air inlet meshes. If the dust cannot be removed by vacuum
cleaning from outside through the grating holes with a small nozzle, proceed as follows:
1.
De-energize the fans by switching off the converter. Obey the safety instructions.
2.
Remove the fasteners at the top of the grating. Air inlets with support plate: Remove
all the fasteners from the support plate on top of the grating and remove the support
plate.
3.
Lift the grating and pull it away from the door.
4.
Vacuum clean or wash the grating on both sides. Replace the filter mat with a new one.
5.
Reinstall the grating in reverse order.
