Philips Velo™ 500 User's Manual
6 Remove the DRAM Miniature Card.
7 Replace the dummy card and the cover.
8 Replace the screw, and install all batteries.
9 Turn on your Velo 500.
10 Restore the data to your Velo 500 using Windows CE
Services 2.0 on your desktop computer.
Caution Any data stored on your DRAM Miniature Card
will be lost.

Flash memory Miniature Cards

You can add storage memory by installing a flash memory
Miniature Card in the Flash/ROM slot on the bottom of your
Velo 500. Storage memory on a flash memory Miniature Card
will not be included on the Memory tab of the System control
panel. You will not lose the information that is stored on the
card when you remove the flash memory Miniature Card.
Note You cannot add a flash memory Miniature Card if you already
installed an operating system upgrade ROM Miniature Card in the
Flash/ROM slot.
Caution After you install or remove a flash memory Miniature Card,
your Velo 500 will reset automatically. Any unsaved information will
be lost.
To install a flash memory Miniature Card
1 Connect your Velo 500 to your desktop computer.
2 Insert the Flash Memory Miniature Card disk into a disk
drive on your desktop computer.
3 On the Start menu, click Run, and then type a:setup and
press
ENTER
the Flash Memory Miniature Card disk.
4 Follow the instructions on your screen.

.philips.com/) for the latest version of the Flash Memory
Miniature Card software.
