To remove the flash memory Miniature Card software
1 Remove the flash memory Miniature Card (see previous
section).
2 On the Start menu, point to Settings, and tap Control
Panel.
3 Double-tap the Remove Programs icon.
4 Select MCFlash from the list, and tap Remove.
5 In the Remove Program dialog box, tap Yes.
6 After MCFlash is removed from the list, tap OK.
Note You cannot remove the flash memory Miniature
Card software while the flash memory Miniature Card is
in your Velo 500.

Using PC Card accessories

By using the optional Type II PC Card V-Module, you can add
cellular modems, pagers, and other PC Card–based accessories to
your Velo 500.
Warning Not following the instructions for installing and removing
the V-Module can seriously damage your Velo 500.
To attach the V-Module
1 Be sure the V-Module latch on the bottom of the
V-Module is in the unlock position.
2 Be sure your Velo 500 is turned off.
3 Open the connector door on the bottom of your Velo 500.
(See Figure 3.)
4 Snap the V-Module to the bottom of the Velo 500,
aligning the connector (see Figure 9).
5 Slide the V-Module latch into the lock position.
Once the V-Module is attached, you can insert or remove PC
Cards without turning off the Velo 500.
