The next message will be displayed. If there are no additional messages,
your telephone's current display will be retained.
Press the CALL soft key to call back the station that left the message, or
press the CNCL soft key to cancel the message.
If this was the last message registered at your station, the telephone's
MESSAGE LED will go out and the display will return to no-message
waiting status.
Once you have successfully reviewed and/or canceled every message
left in your voice mailbox, and have successfully returned or canceled
every message registered at your station, the MESSAGE LED will go out
and all display indications will return to no-message waiting status.
NOTES:
1. Multiple messages that are sent from a specific station to another
station, will be registered as one message. Display telephones will
indicate the number of call attempts.
2. Any messages that have been left at a station will be maintained
unless the registering party is successfully called back (the returned
call is answered or another message is left at the station), or the
messages are canceled either via soft key operation or by entering
the Message Waiting Cancellation access code. A voice mail
message indication on a PERCEPTION 4000 HDT2020SD digital
telephone can be canceled via the CNCL soft key; however, all
individual voice mail messages must either be canceled or saved
after entering the voice mail system. Message Waiting LEDs and
displays will not extinguish until callbacks and/or cancellations are
performed.
3. If you call back a party and the call is busy or remains unanswered,
you can leave a callback message or predefined text message at the
station, just as with a regular call. This operation will cancel the
original message that was left at your telephone.
4. If you attempt to leave a message at a station that is not allowed to
receive messages or whose Message Waiting queue is full, you will
hear reorder tone.
5. The MSG soft key label will only appear if a called station's Message
Waiting queue has space for new messages.
6. A Message Waiting indication on your telephone will only be
canceled when the last registered message is cleared (returned or
canceled).
