If an extension number of an S-PS is set directly to the ICD Group, the SIP-CS receives the incoming call
as a group call. Therefore, the number of ICD Group members will be restricted since the maximum number
of simultaneous calls per SIP-CS is 4.

However, if an S-PS is configured as a member of a PS Ring Group of the SIP-CS, the S-PS is able to
receive an incoming broadcast call. In this way, incoming calls to S-PSs are not restricted as above.

Assigning extension number to SIP-CSs
Assign extension numbers to the SIP-CSs. You can follow the same procedure as assigning extension
numbers to KX-UT series SIP phones. For details about assigning extensions, refer to the PC Programming
Manual of the KX-NS1000.
Programming ICD groups
When the S-PSs that cover the desired area are registered to a SIP-CS, register the extension number of the
SIP-CS as a member of the desired ICD groups. For details about the programming, refer to the PC
Programming Manual of the KX-NS1000.
Note
To register a SIP-CS to a KX-NS1000, input the extension number and password of the SIP-CS to the
KX-NS1000, and then connect the SIP-CS to the LAN. When the extension number and password of the
