Shooting in Monochrome (Grainy B/W)

You can take pictures with a rough monochrome feel.

Choose [ ].
Follow steps 1 – 2 in "Image Effects
(Creative Filters)" ( = 52) and choose
[
].

Choose an effect level.
Turn the [
level.
A preview is shown of how your shot will
look with the effect applied.

Shoot.

Shooting Movies in Movie Mode

Enter [
] mode.
Set the mode dial to [
Displays black bars on the top and
bottom edges of the screen. The black
bars indicate image areas not recorded.
Press the [ ] button, choose [
menu, and then choose [

Configure the settings to suit the
movie (= 177).

Shoot.
Press the movie button.
To stop movie recording, press the movie
button again.
If using a lens that supports Dynamic IS ( = 78), selecting [
mode adjusts the range displayed on-screen to make the subject
larger.
Touch the [
] button before or during shooting to show the
] icon and use a fixed focal position.
[
Touch [
] on the screen before or during shooting to switch
between automatic or fixed focus position when shooting. (The
[
] on the upper-left corner of the [
using automatic focus position adjustment.) This is not displayed
when [Movie Servo AF] ( = 39) is set to [Disable] on the [
tab in the menu.
