LSI Software RAID Configuration Utility Operating Procedure
4.3.1
Creating and adding a configuration
1. Run the LSI Software RAID Configuration Utility.
2. To create a new configuration, select Configure and then New Configuration from the TOP menu
(Management Menu).
To add a configuration, select Configure and then View/Add Configuration.
Run the LSI Software RAID Configuration Utility
Set new configuration data (pack/Virtual Drive settings)
Check the Virtual Drive settings
Initialize the Virtual Drive
Execute a Consistency Check
Exit the LSI Software RAID Configuration Utility
Important
When a configuration is created by selecting New Configuration, the existing
configuration data is cleared. To add configuration data to the existing
configuration, select View/Add Configuration.
• When Easy Configuration is selected to create a configuration, the Virtual Drive
Note
capacity cannot be specified. If you want to specify the capacity, select New
Configuration or View/Add Configuration.
• For RAID10, the Virtual Drive capacity is set as the maximum capacity. You
cannot specify a capacity.
• For RAID0, skip Consistency Check.
