Controls

Brake Pedal
The brake pedal (Figure 15) actuates an automotive
drum-type mechanical brake located at each traction
wheel.
Parking Brake Button
Pressing the brake pedal to actuate the brake assembly,
then pressing the small button indicated (Figure 15) will
keep the brakes actuated for parking. Disengage it by
pressing the brake pedal. Lock the parking brake before
you leave the machine.

Traction and Stopping Pedal
The traction pedal (Figure 15) has three functions: to
make the machine move forward, to move it backward,
and to stop the machine. Press the top of the pedal to
move forward and the bottom of the pedal to move
backward or to assist in stopping when moving forward.
Also, allow the pedal to move to the neutral position to
stop the machine. For operator comfort, do not rest the
heel of your foot on reverse when operating forward
(Figure 16).
