Remote operation (only for SFX-21 O)
You can listen to the messages recorded in the built-in answering system from an outside
Touch-Tone
telephone.
To be accessible by a remote operation, the SFX-21 O must be set to the ANSWER mode,
and a 4-digit password must have been programmed
by you. See next page for password
programming.
Basic operation
1. Call your SFX-21 O from an outside Touch-Tone phone.
2. Press and hold the [ X ] key for 2-3 seconds while
your greeting is playing.
The greeting stops, and 3 short beeps sound.
3. Enter the 4-digit password.
~ Two shorl beeps sound.
To program 4-digit password, see next page.
4. Within 10 seconds, enter the remote operation
code of the function you want to perform.

* When you press [%] twice, a beep sounds after the ANSWER mode is turned off, and
then the line is disconnected.
5. You can enter another remote operation
code after hearing 3 short beeps.
You can change the reception mode from AUTO to ANSWER by remote operation.
1) Press [x]
while the SFX-21O release the simulated ring (2nd ring).
YOU hear 3 short beeps.
2) Enter the password.
YOU hear 3 short beeps.
The SFX-21 O is now set to ANSWER mode.
