Knock sensor

1. Check:
• Knock sensor ground connection
Knock sensor not grounded when
installed → Install the knock sensor cor-
rectly.
Refer to "Oil separator tank and oil pan
removal" in Chapter 5.
2. Measure:
• Knock sensor resistance
Out of specification → Replace the
knock sensor.
Measurement steps:
1. Remove the knock sensor.
Refer to "Oil separator tank and oil pan
removal" in Chapter 5.
2. Measure the knock sensor resistance.
Knock sensor resistance at 20 °C
(68 °F) (reference data):
504–616 kΩ

Throttle position sensor

CAUTION:
• Do not loosen the throttle stop screw nut
1 and do not turn the throttle stop screw
2.
• Do not disconnect the throttle body as-
sembly coupler (throttle body end) 3.
