Disabling CDP Data Collection on 3400cl and 6400cl Switches
Disabling CDP means that the switch forwards all inbound CDP packets it
receives from neighbor devices, but does not store CDP neighbor information
from these devices. Thus, a network management application relying on CDP
data for device discovery would not learn of other devices by polling the
switch for neighbor information.
