Restoring the Hard Disk (Data Deleted)

8.2.1

Restoring the Software to Delivery Condition Using the Restore CD

Using the Restore CD you can restore the software to its original delivery state.
The CD contains the necessary images and tools for transferring the the delivery
software to the hard disk of the programming device. You can restore the entire
hard disk with drive C: (system) and drive D: or just the restoration drive C:. User
files on drive D: will be retained.
Caution
The option "Restore system partition only" will delete all the data on drive C:
(System). All data, user settings and available authorizations on drive C: will be
lost in the process! Drive C: will be deleted completely on the hard disk,
reformatted and overwritten with the original version of the software.
With the option "Restore entire hard disk", all data, user settings and available
authorizations or License Keys on the entire hard disk will be lost.
To restore the delivery state, proceed as follows:
• Insert the Restore CD in the drive, restart the device and press the ESC key
when the BIOS message
is displayed. After initialization, a "Boot Menu" is displayed.
• Press Enter to confirm your entries.
• Select the CD-ROM Drive using the cursor.
• Now follow the instructions on the screen.
Caution
All the existing data, programs, user settings and authorizations or License
Keys on the drives will be deleted in the process and will thus be lost.
