6.2 Indications of the 7-Segment LED

The 7-segment LED (NA/ERROR) on the front panel of the DN611 indicates node
addresses and error codes.
When the DN611 is transmitting normally with slave devices, the local station node
address (value set by the rotary switches on the front panel of the module) is displayed.
If one of the following errors occurs, the 7-segment LED indicates the state of the module
or network.
• The DN611, network, or slave device has developed an error.
• An error has occurred due to one request or another from the S controller.
• The DN611 has run down.
This LED indicates the local station node address by blinking while a scan list is being
created during the process of slave device parameter setting.
Table 6-2 and Table 6-3 show combinations of the 7-segment LED with the module
status/network status LEDs and their meanings. The mark
alternate display of the indications of both LEDs.

6.2 Indications of the 7-Segment LED
in these tables indicates
Description
No power is supplied to the S controller. It is being
initialized by a reset request.
Standby mode (Just after switching power on; after
reset request)
Slave device parameters being set
Transmission normal (Neither the module nor the
network has developed errors.)
DN611 has detected its node address identical with
that of a slave device.
• Response from some slave devices has ceased
during normal transmission.
• Polling is disabled by operation mode setting
while there are polling devices on the scan list.
• Bit strobe is disabled by operation mode setting
while there are bit strobe devices on the scan list.
• Receive data size and scan type different from
the actual ones have been set as slave device
parameters.
Vendor ID, product type, and product code different
from the actual ones have been set as slave device
parameters.
No slave device exists on the network when starting
transmission (this indication only)
• Run mode is requested without setting parame-
ters for any slave device
* This state occurs before the DN611 and a slave
device start transmission. If it lasts 30 seconds or
more, check the slave device parameters.
