Chapter 4 Operating Procedures
for the DN611 (Software)
This chapter describes the items necessary for using the various functions of the DN611
in S controller ladder programs as follows:
(1) DN611 registration
In using the S controller with DN611s connected to it, it is necessary to register the
DN611s as target stations. The procedures for DN611 registration are described.
(2) Configuration and functions of the S controller interface buffer memory in the DN611
The operation of DN611 control and data input/output using the S controller is
basically performed by reading and writing the S controller interface buffer memory
with MREAD and MWRITE instructions. The configuration and functions of the S
controller interface buffer memory are described.
(3) Functions and usage of various request function blocks for operating the DN611
Use of a user function block which combines MREAD and MWRITE instructions
simplifies the program to contol DN611s and to input and output date using the S
controller. User function blocks are described.
(4) DN611's response code to various request commands (completion status)
The completion status of various control requests issued from the S controller to the
DN611 is described.
Based on the descriptions given in this chapter, Chapter 5 describes the procedures
for DN611 parameter setting, starting transmission, data input/output with slave
devices, and reading RAS information including event history. Sample programs are
also covered in Chapter 5.
1. Prepare programs after fully understanding the descriptions given in this chapter. The sam-
