Cable lengths
The maximum length of the power cable between the HF Choke Module and the Voltage
Protection Module is 1.5 m. It must not include any switching elements.
The length of the signal cable must not exceed 30 m.
Signaling contact
Signaling contact X3 on the Voltage Protection Module is wired to a digital input (DI) on the
Control Unit, which controls this axis. If more than one Voltage Protection Module is used, each
X3 terminal is wired to the respective Control Unit. If an armature short-circuit occurs, the pulses
of the axis involved must remain inhibited. To do this, the connected digital input is
interconnected to control bit OFF2 (pulse inhibit) (see SINAMICS S120/S150 List Manual). The
signaling contact is operated with +24 V.
