Cluster On Die setting, Early Snoop setting

The following two items are provided in the Memory Configuration submenu in Advanced of the system
BIOS setup utility (SETUP).

Cluster On Die
Early Snoop
Pay attention to the number of installed DIMMs when specifying [Enabled] for Cluster On Die.
In the case of 1 CPU configuration
Install DIMM to at least all the slots from CPU1_DIMM1 through DIMM3.
In the case of 2 CPU configuration
Install DIMM to at least all the slots from CPU1_DIMM1 through DIMM3 and CPU2_DIMM1 through DIMM3.
It is recommended to install DIMM for the following numbers for the purpose of effectively utilizing the Cluster On
Die function of the processor.
In the case of 1 CPU configuration
Install DIMM to the slots from CPU1_DIMM1 through DIMM8.
Or, install DIMM to the slots from CPU1_DIMM1 through DIMM12.
In the case of 2 CPU configuration
Install DIMM to the slots from CPU1_DIMM1 through DIMM4 and CPU2_DIMM1 through DIMM4.
Or, install DIMM to the slots from CPU1_DIMM1 through DIMM8 and CPU2_DIMM1 through DIMM8.

Enable or disable the Cluster On Die function.
Enabled
This item can be selected after installing the processor that
supports this function and by specifying [Enabled] for NUMA.
・In the following OS, specify [Disabled] for this item.
- VMware ESXi 5
Disabled
Enable or disable the Early Snoop function.
[Enabled]
This item can be selected by specifying [Disabled] for Cluster On
Die.
