8.4 Opening/closing

Pressure indicator

DANGER! Risk of injury from

Before each use, you must check to en-
sure that the underside of the pressure
indicator 27 is clean and moves freely
(see "Preparations before each use" on
page 59).
Ensure that no body parts (e.g. hand or
arm) are above the pressure indica-
tor 19 when steam escapes from it.
The pressure indicator 19 is a valve located
in a recess in the lid 5. Hot steam can flow
out of this valve when pressure has built up
inside the Multi-Pot. You can see that the
Multi-Pot is pressurised when the pressure in-
dicator 19 is lifted.
