the tweezers as you continue to pull the tape out from behind the battery (2). You must pull the tape
multiple times before it is completely removed.
NOTE:
Pull the tape out from under the battery at an approximate 45° angle.
Do not wrinkle the tape prior to pulling the tab. Wrinkled tape tears more easily.
When pulling out the tape, use a steady motion to help reduce the risk of breaking the tape.
If the tape breaks but you can still see and reach the end of the tape, use tweezers to grasp and
slowly and steadily pull the tape out far enough to grasp it and pull it out with your fingers.
If the tape breaks and you cannot see it under the battery and most of the tape is still under the
battery, use a tool to lift the bottom of the battery up, apply solvent (such as alcohol) under the
battery, and then wait 10-20 minutes. Use a tool to lift up the battery, and then use tweezers to
grasp and slowly and steadily pull the tape out far enough to grasp it and pull it out with your
fingers.
If the tape breaks and you cannot see it under the battery but only a small part of the tape is still
under the battery, use a tool around all sides to release the battery from the computer.

Remove the battery from the computer (3).
To install a new battery, reverse the removal procedures. Run the camera function test after the repair. For
