Make sure that there is no conflict between software products.
→ If two device drivers that cannot be used at the same time are incorporated, one
might have to be removed. For details, see the software user's guide.
Correctly backing up is not possible (and the clean LED is blinking).
If the problem recurs after cleaning and then attempting another backup, replace the
data cartridge.
The data cartridge cannot be ejected.
If the cartridge is not ejected even when the drive EJECT button is pressed, the drive
might have been locked by backup software.
→ Close the software.
→ Restart the system.
→ Turn the power off and on.
The system might be preventing ejection due to the detection of a drive failure.
→ Restart the system.
→ Turn the power off and on.
If software was used for ejection, the Tape Blade entered the ejection standby status
but did not reach actual cartridge ejection. Execute the software ejection, and then
press the EJECT button to eject the cartridge.
The cleaning cartridge cannot be ejected.
If a cleaning cartridge that has already been used up was inserted or cleaning did not
finish normally because the cartridge was used up during cleaning, the cleaning
cartridge might not be ejected to notify you of this.
→ Press the EJECT button to eject the cleaning cartridge, and then re-execute
cleaning by using a new cleaning cartridge.
The data cartridge is ejected.
The cartridge might be entangled in the drive (a cartridge jam). (In this case, holding
down the EJECT button for a fixed period of time or longer does not eject the
cartridge.)
→ Because a cartridge getting jammed in a drive might damage the internal heads,
drum, guide pins, or other parts, replace the drive.
Reading the cartridge might be taking a while. Wait until reading the cartridge ends.
If a reading error occurs, replace the cartridge.
→ Make sure that the correct data cartridge is being used.
