Note: When sending Status to groups of radios, the "Complete" acknowledgement will not
display.

Emergency Alert

Definition:
FleetSync radios can send an Emergency Message telling the targeted radio that a user is
in trouble. The FleetSync radios use the reserved Special Status 99 as an Emergency
Message.
Usage:
In an Emergency, the operator will press the Emergency Button to notify the base that
assistance is needed.
Application:
A taxi cab driver is being robbed. To call for help, he presses a footswitch or hidden help
button which triggers the mobile radio to send a Status No. 99 ("EMERGENCY"), to the
dispatcher. The base station emits a repeating alert tone and triggers a light circuit at the
dispatcher's station, as shown in Figure 7.
