SLEEP TIMER
@ Power turns off automatically after the specified
time has elapsed.
@ Perform this operation with the display unit or re-
mote control unit.
1. Press the CHARACTER/timer button.

2. Use the (=, Ee buttons to select "SLEEP
TIMER".
3. Press the SET button.

4. Use the Ed, E] buttons to select the length
of time (minutes) you wish the timer to
operate.

Example: To automatically turn off the power after
90 minutes.

AUTO (Auto Sleep}
Can be selected during playback of CD, MD, or cas-
sette tape, or during recording of MD or cassette tape.
lf playback or recording ends, the timer will automati-
cally turn off one minute later. During operation of the
sleep timer, the display will be dimmed (dimmer func-
tion).
5. Press the SET button.

g To confirm how many minutes remain on
the sleep timer:
@) Press the CHARACTER/timer button.
@ Use the [<=], E+] buttons to select "SLEEP TIMER".
@ Press the SET button. The display will show the re-
maining time.
@ Press the SET button; the display will return to its
previous setting.
