Satellite speaker
CONNECTING THE SPEAKERS
AND POWER CORDS
) Connect the speaker cords to the SPEAKER
terminals. (Satellite Speaker S-L7-LR/
S-L7-A-LR)
Connect the white cords (with gray line) to the "+"
(red) terminais and the white cords to the "—" (black)
terminals.
Connect the cords to the speakers in nearly the
same way.
@ Twist the
wire strands.
@ Push away the @) Pull back the
tab. Be sure
to tighten the
cords firmly.
tab and insert
the cord into
the terminal.
NOTE:
Do not allow the conductors of the cords to project
out of the terminals or to come into contact with other
conductors. A breakdown or failure may occur when
conductors touch.
Speaker impedance
Connect speaker systems with a nominal impedance
ranging from 6 Q to 16 © (4 Q in the case of sub-woof-
ers).
Precautions for the S-L7-LR/S-L7-A-LR and S-L7-W/
S-L7-A-W
@ Do not connect to any amplifier other than the one
supplied with this system. Connection to any other
amplifier may in rare cases result in smoke or fire.
@ Becareful not to block the port opening on the front
panel of the speaker.

@ Bevery careful when connecting speaker cords! !f
one of the satellite speakers is mistakenly con-
nected to the subwoofer's speaker cord and con-
nector, the satellite speaker may be damaged.
@ This speaker system is not magnetically shielded,
- and may cause color noise or distortion when
placed very near a television. If this occurs, place
the speakers farther away from the television set.
@ Connect the speaker cords to the speaker
terminals (SUBWOOFER S-L7-W/S-L7-A-W)}
QQ) Align the cord's socket properly with the termi-
nal and insert into the receptacle. To release the
socket, pinch the top and bottom halves and pull
out.
@ On the end of the cord not provided with a
socket, twist the insulation tips and pull off, ex-
posing the wire.
@) Press down the tabs and insert the cords' wire
tips fully into the connectors.
@) Press up on the connector tabs, returning them
to their original positions, and confirm that the
cords are firmly fixed in place.
