Starting an MES Interface Module and
Configuration Personal Computer
Start a server before starting an MES interface module and configuration personal computer.
: No operation required
Step MES interface module
1 Mount an MES interface module on a base unit.
2 Switch the dot matrix LED display mode switch to the right (SHOW).
3 Connect the MES interface module to the configuration personal computer on a 1:1 basis.
4 Turn the power of the system ON. (The ERR LED flashes because an SD
memory card is not inserted.)
5 Insert an SD memory card.


11 Connect the MES interface module and configuration personal computer to a network according to the network setting configured in MES Interface
Function Configuration Tool.


16 Start the operation.

 User authentication setting (optional)
Use the user authentication : Select the checkbox.
User name: RD81MES96
Password: MITSUBISHI
To change the setting for the MES interface module, perform steps 12 to 14.

Install MES Interface Function Configuration Tool.


Start MES Interface Function Configuration Tool.
Configure the network setting for the MES interface module.
Specify the default IP address, user name, and password for the MES
interface module in the "Specify Connection Destination" screen.
Format the SD memory card as necessary.
Write the settings to the MES interface module to apply them.
Configure the setting for the MES interface module.
Change the setting for the connection destination according to the
network setting for the MES interface module.
Write the settings to the MES interface module to apply them.
Check the operation result, and review the settings as necessary.
