MECHANICAL PARTS REWORK AND REPAIR: REWORK PROCEDURE FOR COMPONENTS UNDER SAME SHIELD OF AN
It is mandatory to wear eye protection (Goggles) during cutting procedure.
WARNING:
NOTE: Boards with 72 hours or more of exposition need to be baked for 24 hours @ 125°C
prior to rework.
1. Carefully cut shield (See drawing) using a sharp and pointy cutter to detach shield from epoxy.
Do not use cutter vertical to the board to avoid damaging components with

2. Pull cut shield and dispose it to a safe container
NOTE: Inspect for:
Additional epoxy (Extend cutting if necessary),
Lifted edges (Press them down if necessary),
Damaged components, or
Metal residues (Blow area if necessary).
3. With probe or pick remove epoxy from top of components if any.
4. Place board on fixture
5. Cover with heat-protector # 190532 (It must lay flush to the cut shield)
