Antenna

Required Tools: T-4 Torx bit, Black Stick
7.11.1 Remove:
1. Remove battery cover.
2. Extend antenna whip fully.
3. Loosen T-4 screw counterclockwise. Remove completely (See Figure 7-3)
4. Hold unit stationary while pulling at antenna collar until antenna assembly releases.
5. If needed, remove the Antenna Metal Tube by inserting the flat tip of the Black Stick into the
tube channel above the SD Card slot (See Figure 7-4)
6. Pull the tube down from the antenna port and out of the housing.
7.11.2 Install:
1. Insert either end of the Antenna Metal Tube up into the tube hole at the base of the antenna port.
2. Bring the end of the tube down into position inside the tube channel in the back housing.
3. Carefully insert antenna assembly into unit with whip fully extended, contact toward interior of
unit. Push in firmly until seated.
4. Reinsert T4 screw and tighten clockwise 0.3 to 0.7 in/lbs.
5. Push antenna whip in and out to check for non-interference.
