Programming the TRICK
Device Information - used to read version information from the TRICK connected to the PC via the
RIB.
Print - used to obtain a print-out of the entire personality data.
Print Review - used to view the format of the personality data print-out.
Print Setup - used to modify paper size and orientation, printer properties, printer connections, etc.
Exit - used to exit from the RSS program.

Setup Menu
The following options are available from the Setup Menu. See the 'Functional Description and
Applications' manual for details of the function of each of the options.
System Setup
Country - Currently this field is not used - it is included to accommodate any future country
specific configuration items, typically telephone line level settings.
Options - Currently this field is not used - it is included to accommodate future
enhancements.
Monitor power supply alarms - If this checkbox is selected, the TRICK will monitor the
power supply alarm inputs for Mains Failure and Battery Low alarm conditions.
Radio Interface
Tone system - selects required 5-tone signalling system - choice of ZVEI 1 (standard), ZVEI
2 (French), ZVEI 3 (modified), CCIR 100ms, CCIR 70ms, EEA. See Appendix A of the
'Functional Description and Applications' manual for further details of the calling schemes.
Start up channel - selects the channel the TRICK will default to when it powers up. The
TRICK will send a channel command to the radios to ensure they operate on the correct
channel.
Radio with single channel - check the box if the TRICK is to be used with a single channel
system.
Radio type - select type and configuration of radio to which the TRICK will interface. The
choice of radio type/configuration is shown in Table1-6 below.
Fine tune level (from radio to radio)
tune RX audio signal level from radio in 0.1dB incremental steps.
tune TX audio signal level to radio in 0.1dB incremental steps.
