25. Close the memory board's retaining latches, which should completely seat
the memory board into the connector.
The latches should grab the sides of the memory bay and hold the memory
board firmly in place.
CAUTION
To prevent damage to the metal EMI clips and copper
grounding casket, use gentle pressure when inserting the
memory bay cover. The EMI clips and the casket may come
off or be bent during insertion.
26. Insert the memory bay cover into the front of the chassis and secure the
captive screws. See Figure 5-3.
27. Push the LCD display down into its original position to provide a full
display. See Figure 5-3.
28. Re-attach the front bezel.
See Chapter 3, "Opening and Closing the HP NetServer," for details.
29. Reconnect the power cord and return power to the HP NetServer using the
respective NOS instructions.

Removing a DIMM

Use this procedure to remove DIMMs from the HP NetServer's memory boards.
The HP NetServer must be powered down and the memory board(s) must be
removed from the HP NetServer, before removing any DIMMs.
NOTE
If removing DIMMs from a HP NetServer operating with two
memory boards, ensure both boards have identical DIMM
configurations when finished.
The BIOS automatically detects if there is one or two memory
boards in the HP NetServer during boot-up. Refer to "Memory
Configuration Guidelines," earlier in this chapter.
1. If you have not already removed the memory board from the HP
NetServer, do so now. See Figure 5-4.
Refer to Steps 1-11 in "Installing Additional Memory" earlier in this
chapter.
2. Select the desired DIMM(s) for removal.
3. Open the DIMM's retaining clips to lift the DIMM's top edge away from
the clips. See Figure 5-8.
