Status Bar

The status bar displays at the bottom of the current window. It contains the following status
information:
n

SERVER NAME

n
: the type of line connection. This would be either direct or modem.
LINE
n
: either Redirect of EMP, depending on whether the EMP has control of the COM 2 port.
MODE
n

LINE STATUS

connected, the status bar says "Connected." Otherwise, the line is blank.

EMP Console Main Menu

Connect
Disconnect
[Re]Connect - raises the connect dialog.
A list of the five most recent connections - can click on one of the five servers most recently
connected to. A connection to the selected server is initiated.

Phonebook
n
provides version information and help topics for the EMP.
Help -
C-8 Emergency Management Port Console
: the name of the server (stored in the Phonebook) connected to.
: gives status information on the server connection. For example, if a server is
- Exits the EMP.
- disconnects the server connection.
- powers the server on or off with post-power-up options.
- resets the server with post-reset options.
- opens the SEL viewer.
- opens the SDR viewer.
- opens the FRU viewer.
- opens the phonebook dialog.
